Today is Small Business Saturday and Shop the Neighbourhood! I've made a map of my favourite local shops here in Vancouver for finding gifts for loved ones (oh and also yourself). Remember to shop small this holiday season and support the friendly faces in your neighbourhood!
1. Motherland | 2080 West 4th Avenue: One of my favourite stores for made in Canada menswear.
2. Paper-Ya | 1666 Johnston Street (Granville Island): A long-time Vancouver staple for unique stationary items.
3. Delish General Store | 1535 Johnston Street (Granville Island): This little gem on Granville Island has a little bit of everything and a whole lot of locally-crafted items.
4. Hunter and Hare | 334 West Pender Street: A beautifully curated consignment shop that also has a lovely selection of jewelry, beauty, and home products.
5. Old Faithful Shop | 320 West Cordova Street: If you're looking for top-notch, classic home goods that will stand the test of time, this is a must. It's like something out of a Kinfolk mag ;)
6. Meadow | 104 Water Street: This is probably one of the sweetest shops in the city, full of whimsical hand-crafted items for women, men and children.
7. Lynn Stevens | 225 Carrall Street: This modern and feminine boutique has a drool-worthy selection of women's clothing, accessories, beauty, many of which are Canadian-made.
8. Much & Little | 2541 Main Street: All kinds of unique and quirky gifts for men, women and children.
9. Vancouver Special | 3612 Main Street: The perfect place for the design-saavy in your life.
10. The Soap Dispensary | 3718 Main Street: The best place for home essentials and your DIY beauty projects (think beeswax pellets, candle wicks, jars for everything you can imagine).
11. Nineteen Ten | 4366 Main Street: Modern meets vintage in this home decor store full of beautiful hand-crafted gifts. They also have an amazing array of workshops!
12. Walrus | 3408 Cambie Street: Elegant home items mixed with novel and quirky objects.
